Last April 14th, General Resolution 14/2021 was approved, referring to the procedure for issuing certificates of customs control of merchandise stored at free trade zones.

This resolution responds to the needs of having a document that certifies that the goods stored in free zones were under customs control, and therefore can obtain the benefits provided in the various Preferential Trade Agreements with third countries.

Chile is one of the countries with more agreements of this type and Costa Oriental is the first free trade zone operator to issue this kind of certificate. With this the product could enter that country keeping the benefits of the agreement that cover the merchandise with the correspondent tariff exemption.
